Till the 10th season of IPL,14 hat-tricks has been picked up by the bowlers but it never happened in the history of the game that 2 hat-tricks have been picked up on the same day.And then on Friday history was written. Also, an amazing fact about these hat-tricks is that both the bowlers were playing their first match of the season and they proved their selection right by giving an exceptional performance. Both the bowlers were right on the money from the first bowl they bowled and they certainly made the life of the batsman a lot tougher on the pitch.

The first hat-trick of the Friday was picked up by Samuel Badree, the leg spinner from West Indies who has recently performed well against Pakistan in a home series. Also his presence in RCB line-up gave a cushion to their bowling because Uptill now their bowlers were under real pressure but with the spinner coming in form at the right time things might get easier for RCB. Although Badree was on the losing side after his exceptional performance of 4–1–9–4. The other bowlers had to take the responsibility after the initial bang from Badree and none of them was able to do so which led to another Loss for RCB. It is not that he took the wickets of tailenders to accomplish his hat-trick, the batsman who got out to him were world-class players of spin and it included Rohit Sharma as well. But on that day no one could stop the badree show. After the initial Roadblocks, MI came back on track by some sensible batting from pollard and krunal pandya and took their team over the line. But the heroics from Samuel Badree in his first match will be a talking point for the rest of the season.

Another player who did it in his first match was the Australian Star, Andrew Tye. People might remember tye after his dreadful last over against India last year.He was smacked out of the park by Yuvraj Singh and Suresh raina. But this time in his debut IPL season he had some other intentions. He bowled with perfection in the death overs. The ball on which he got the hat-trick was a perfect yorker and anybody in the world would have faced difficulty in facing that ball. Also the knuckle ball which he bowled was a treat to watch. The game was a high scoring match but tye’s figure in those circumstances was exceptional.I hope we see a lot of match winning performances from the talented young fast bowler.

If we need to select a better hat-trick out of these two, my pick would definitely be the one from Samuel Badree. He bowled with a lot of aggression and if we compare the value of wickets from both the bowlers, Badree will win the race and hence I prefer his hat-trick over Tye’s.
